Life Areas

Not every topic fits neatly into a category—but it helps when information can be found where one expects it.

In the Thematic Spaces, we organize contributions according to areas of life: from school and transitions to self-care, siblings, leisure activities, or challenging phases.

This space is developed gradually and remains deliberately open: not finished, but alive. If you would prefer that a topic not be addressed, or if you would like to suggest an idea, please feel free to contact us.

Life Areas

The early years are often marked by many questions, appointments, and decisions. Here, we offer experience and guidance—from diagnosis and the initial phase through early intervention and onward along the care pathway.

Primary School

School introduces new structures, interactions, and sometimes uncertainties. In this section, you will find ideas and resources related to everyday school life, collaboration with the school, and available support options.

As children grow, their priorities evolve: puberty, independence, personal boundaries, friendships. Here, we share experiences related to these transitions, identity development, everyday life, and the resources available to support them during this period.

Work

The transition into employment or a structured daily routine often raises many practical questions. In this section, we bring together information, personal accounts, and avenues for reflection on post-school options.

Adulthood

In adulthood, housing, health, support, and future planning become increasingly important. Here, you will find articles that guide you step by step, drawing on the practical experience of the community.

Future and Ageing

As family members and those affected grow older, their daily lives and questions about the future evolve.
This includes health, housing, support, and safety, step by step.

Siblings often carry things quietly alongside everything else.
Some become what is sometimes called “glass children” or “shadow children” – a  lot of responsibility, little space.

This theme space brings together impulses that support, relieve and make their experiences visible.
